Though the android email app syncs mail and calendar with the stock Google calendar...it is at the cost of lost features as you mention. It also opens admin rights to your corporate IT to factory reset the device.

I ordered from Lenovo Direct on 8/23.  Was told it would ship on 8/29.  It immediately changed to 9/12, but I waited.  Went on vacation and returned on 9/12 to find out that it had been changed to 10/7.  I ordered instead from Buy.com on Tuesday evening 9/13.  It shipped yesterday, 9/14.  Will arrive on 9/20 - next Tuesday.  64 kb system.  They tell me pen is included - I hope so.

Cancelled order yesterday at Lenovo Direct - no confirm yet.

CDW also seems to have them in stock.

On other topic - can anyone tell me where I can now order the folio keyboard?

I cancelled mine on 06Sep and received the cancellation email verification from Lenovo on the 13th. So you will get notification that the order was cancelled.

Just curious, who did you order from. The Lenovo forum was saying direct shipment would start yesterday, but no one has posted there that they have received a shipping conformation.

I ordered from Buy.com to take advantage of the extended return policy, just in case. Hopefully my unit will be fine [knock on wood]. Should be here tomorrow.

That's pretty bad about the Lenovo Direct shipments.

I'm one of the few who stuck with my original order from Lenovo.  Ordered 8/23.  Est. shipping dated was 8/29, then 9/12, then 9/3, then 10/3, then 9/19, now 10/4.  I voiced my concerned via the 800 number and through Lenovo's chat support.  I suggested that they offer app store gift certificates to those who have experienced a roller-coaster ride.

One LD customer said he got a 75.00 credit on his cc card. Might be worth a call. Hopefully they'll be releasing those soon.

For those of you that are waiting on Lenovo Direct or have purchased through a 3rd party vendor, Lenovo Direct is now fulfilling orders with processed from China through Louisville, KY. The following link will give you a breakdown of the transit process, which required 8 day from order process in China to delivery in Stafford, TX. I would say Lenovo made a huge effort, in setting up fulfillment with direct shipping from China. ASI and IngramMicro anticipate inventory in Oct with accessories, at which point I will have 1 day fulfillment for my clients, the same as I have now on other Lenovo products.

You are fortunate: according to tracking, mine is in limbo/still in Kentucky.  Same original shipment date as yours.  Sigh.  My TPT experience has been shanghaied.

Fortunately, I have had my TPT since early Sep, but I was glad to relay the report of the direct dilivery to Stafford, TX. Keep us posted on your delivery process and any accessories that you ordered as well. Hope your wait is over soon.

I am a reseller and our distributor has stock of all models of the Thinkpad tablet in multiple warehouses.
The Keyboard Folio case, however, is on back order for 4 weeks - no reason stated as to why.
