Can I pick your brain about your Thinkpad Tablet?
« on: June 01, 2012, 01:26:29 PM »
Hey everyone,

First, I realize this is a bit of gray area on asking this here. If it's a problem, I'm happy to close and delete the thread. Full disclosure, I am not related or affiliated Lenovo, the developers or anyone else on the Lenovo team, nor is this a scam, spam or other wicked plot.

I'm looking for a few owners of the Lenovo Thinkpad X220 Tablet to take part in a study about convertible devices.

All it involves is participating in an online discussion next Tuesday and Wednesday about how you use your Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet and what you like or don't like about it. For your time, you get a $100 Amazon e-certificate.  It should only take about 60 minutes to complete in total, but we encourage you to break your participation into smaller blocks of about 20-30 minutes.  There's no list to sign up for, nothing to join and there shouldn't be any reason we'd want to contact you again. The only "catch" is that you can't work in the tech industry.

If you're interested, please do not put your email address or phone number in this thread! Send me a message with your contact info. Again, don't post it here or creeps can get it. We're only looking for a few people, so PM sooner rather than later if you're interested.

What will happen is my colleague Graham will contact you to ask a few screening questions to make sure you qualify. The actual online discussion is pretty casual, no pressure or stress, and confidential.

You only have my word to go on, but I promise this isn't a scam or spam. I'm an independent researcher doing a project on convertible devices and would like to include some Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet owners. If you're interested, awesome! I think you'll find it fun. If not, no problem, sorry to waste your time reading this. If this is completely prohibited, I apologize and understand about closing the thread.

Thank you!
Sabrina

@ Sabrina

Even though your post does not follow the true purpose of the forum, with your full disclosure of purpose and considering that I feel the tablet and convertible market will benefit from the input by end users, allowing your post is justifiable. Good luck with your study and please advise us of the findings from your study. On a note of interest, when looking at the scope of your study, "how you use your tablet and what you like and what you dislike about it", I am prompted to consider my list of likes and dislikes and I find some rather glowing dislikes, but in the long run, my list of likes continues to outweigh my list of dislikes. Obviously the requirement that you have no connections to the tech industry excludes me.
