Quill update issue.
« on: January 05, 2012, 02:29:48 PM »
Just got an update to quill.  Now it is putting dots on the page before the stylus makes contact.  Looks like there is pepper on the page.  I hope the fix this soon.  I don't suppose there are any settings that could correct this, are there?  It would be nice to have the option of rolling back an update.  I had no issues with the previous version.

Quill update issue.

That doesn't happen to me. The only I got is that every time I try to update from the Lenovo shop, it give me a "fail to parse package" error. This is the only app I just can't update normally, I always have to uninstall and reinstall the updated app. Annoying as I always have to backup all my notes before i uninstall and reload once I'm updated. Anybody else having this issue with this or any other app?

Oh, and you can go to the developer website and download previous versions from there.

That's strange, it doesn't happen to me either. I would do a backup and then uninstall and reinstall and restore your notes. That should work but if it doesn't then there is probably something else wrong with your tablet.

Ron, I don't know a true solution to your problem but I purchased the app from the Android Market because from my experience, the Lenovo shop is bad at updates. I also avoid it because I have most of my apps from the android market and the amazon app store and I don't want to deal with another app store.

This is also the only app I can't update.  I downloaded from the market, and don't want to uninstall/reinstall because now everyone is using the word "purchase" like it now costs money...

I downloaded in version 1, and didn't like it.  Now everyone is talking about how it's gotten better but I can't update.

You can still get it without paying for it but it is only a dollar for such a great app. You can find the free apk for it on the developer's website. If you go into the market, search for quill, and look at the very bottom of the description it shows the link. He says you can get it as in free speech. Sorry I can't get the link for you now. Go to the page and look for the latest version and download and install it. If you need further help with installing an apk file then your welcome to ask.
