Well when it rains it pours. Seems like my power button has decided to fail at the last minute. So I may have to do that fix over at xda to resolder it before I can proceed to attempt to place the tablet back to stock recovery. I opened it up and repositioned the switch but i do not know how long it may last without actually resoldering it.
anyway, I did the steps provided by Godfather in this
post The steps from that post are as follows...
The file --->ThinkPadTablet_A310_02_0039_0089_US_Recovery_CWR.zip
this update should reinstall the stock recovery.
Flash that in ClockworkMod recovery,
reboot,
protect root and temp unroot with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper,
then shut down and
enter recovery by pressing volume up after turning on
(DO NOT use reboot recovery command in adb as this could brick your tablet if the recovery installation was unsuccessful), and finally
flash the update from sdcard using stock recovery.
You can simply put both updates on your sdcard and flash one after the other
(the first one is actually ICS, the 2nd is just a small patch), then
boot up and enjoy ICS.
Now I rebooted, twice and now after each vibration I press the volume up button and nothing happens, it goes straight to the main screen.
Its getting to the point that I'm willing to send it to anyone that can get this working. lol
Speaking of sending, would Lenovo accept a broken power button tablet that is rooted and has CWM? I doubt it, but I figure I'll ask.
