Hello,

I'm in CM10 for the moment and want to go back to an official ROM.
But don't have backup of my official one (have old backup in "US" version, but since it had been repaired et have "WE" motherboard, my old backup didn't seems to works anymore).

So i someone could share a backup of his official "WE" rom it would be great.

Thanks !

Hi everyone, was too lazy to introduce myself at the beginning. Now that I'm approaching 100 posts (will not be "jr member" anymore) think it would be time to do it ;)

I'm Vietnamese from Belgium (Europe), I can speak(/write) French, English, Vietnamese (and a little bit Dutch) - so my apologize if my English is not very good.

I use Android phone since end 2009, now I'm on my second Androphone and used to root my device to use it comfortably.

I've bought the TPT not for the same reason than majority of people here (not for the stylus).
I was looking for a tablet with full connectivity, and at that moment, there were two tablet that match this criterion : TPT and Toshiba Thrive. There were a discount on TPT on a web seller so I've bought TPT.

At the beginning, I'm a little bit disappointed by the tablet for several reasons:
- don't find a tablet (in general) very usefull (I bought a tablet mainly for travel)
- find Honeycomb experience incomplete (OS is not "finished" for me, hope ICS can give more "possibilities")
- TPT was not ROOTED, find myself very limited !

Now that we finally have root, I appreciate much more the use of my TPT !
I'm still learning to optimize the use of the Thinkpad, so now my next step is to learn how to correctly draw with it to be fully satisfied :)

(if someone have suggestions on a good tutorial for draw app, it would be great ^^)

ThinkPad Tablet Apps / apps to hide status/menu bar (root required)
« on: January 31, 2012, 07:43:52 AM »
I post here what I'm originaly post on XDA.

now that we have root, we'll finally be able to use apps to hide status/menu bar.

here some of those applications I've founded and my tests:

- HoneyBar : Seems that makes the tablet a little bit lagguy, and the zone to hide the bar is on the app wheel of Lenovo (so isn't possible to use the two together)
- StatusbarToggle : don't succeed to use it, long press on search button don't do anything
- Hide Bar : works good to hide the bar, but cannot show back the status bar by swyping the bottom of the screen (maybe I should try this)
- TabletBar Hider : hide with rotation (not tested)
- script for Tasker : I don't have tasker to test
- hide the system bar via power menu : not tested
- no system bar : seems to have made my power button not working correctly anymore :/
- Honey Hide Widget : suggested from xda members, works good.

So for the moment, I use "hide Bar" to  hide and "Honey Hide Widget" to show :)

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to jcase for porting CWM Recovery for the TPT
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458212

But it seems to have some bug on my tablet (restore failed to restore "\data" folder)

Has anyone succeeded to have CWM Recovery fully working ? and with wich hardware ?

I have the 16GB version

S.Prime is reposting quyTam's updated instruction set, for CWM installation, from a seperate thread:

Source - quyTam

it's on XDA

first port + instruction by jcase
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458212
but have problems on some TPT version and backup (and wipe) also the SDCard folder.

And new versions from logxen that correct the problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458212&page=8

And another by realyst2k for ROW tablet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471106

installation instructions are the same (of curse, root is needed)

install adb and driver on your pc:
open command line and go to folder where the file is saved
> adb push NameOfCWMFile.img /data/local/
> adb shell
> su
> mount -o rw,remount /system
> echo "#!/system/bin/sh" > /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
> dd if=/data/local/NameOfCWMFile.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1

or you can copy img file on /data/local/ folder of your tablet (with a file manager with root permissions)
launch "Android Terminal Emulator" application
and tape the instructions
> su
> mount -o rw,remount /system
> echo "#!/system/bin/sh" > /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
> dd if=/data/local/NameOfCWMFile.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1

I've test the first version (with bug when restore) and the new logxen version TPT16Gb, and it's seem to work good (don't test the full restore yet)

ThinkPad Tablet Honeycomb/Android OS / latency of touchscreen when turn on
« on: November 22, 2011, 04:13:32 AM »
Hello,

I don't know if it's my TPT or it's on all tablets, but when I turn on the TPT (power button), the screen switch on but it seems that the touchscreen is not immediately active (cannot unlock immediately whith the circle).
Must wait about 1 sec to have a responsive touchscreen.

I thought it was the locker, but tried with "widget locker" with the same result...

Can anyone confirm (or not) this problem ?
