Hi Guys,

Yesterday my daughter has drained full battery, now i try to charge with my chager(AC charger) its not working . Has anybody faced this problem.

Can some body help me
I had a similar issue with my Adam tablet. A straightened paperclip into the reset hole and ...hey presto ...fixed. Worth a shot on the TPT.;)

Can someone give a link to download ROW OTA3 zip file for manual install?

.... yes, you sure can.  Just use temp unroot before upgrading.

3
I would still like the ability to have a nandroid backup with CWM and a chance at a custom rom down the road.
Pretty much ... although for Google phones it is great for flashing tools like Dalvik-Wiper, and different kernels and ROMs.

4
Current CWM recovery is not compatible with ICS. So unless you can port it yourself, I am afraid you'll have to wait a bit more... (Just like me... ;))

Yes ... but I don't think it will take long now that the TPT is gaining market acceptance.

5
good to hear! Welcome to the ICS club!
...next task ... CWM Recovery again.  OTARootKeeper worked a treat ...

I did another factory reset and I can do commands like ls in android terminal and I get a directory listing. I still cannot do any adb commands through a usb connection, but the adb commands work through, "adb over Wifi". Obviously the tablet is not allowing the computer to recognize the adb interface correctly on the tablet through usb,  even though the Thinkpad adb device shows in device manager under Android phone.

Thanks to you and Gaohan, I have ICS and OTARootkeeper worked for me. I have yet to use adb, but I suspect an update to the SDK (Win7) and setting up the winusb.inv file will be needed. I state this without looking. I will check and advise.

Have a look here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/4xrzd3f44mor/n/FlexT9ChineseIME_apk

Got it from : http://forum.xdadevelopers.info/showthread.php?p=28027794 All system apps can be found there from a ROW image. Have to go through a Russian File share site, bit hard to figure out if you are not conversant with russian... ;)

@gaohan: I owe you big time. ICS installed cleanly after your download APK.
Thank you and S.Prime for sharing so much.

I am in exactly the same situation .... 0089-ROW and missing that wretched apk.  I have the patch file (apk.p) but that is useless.
It seems that the patch file upgrades the previous version file, so we need the file from someone like realystk2 from /system/app BEFORE they upgrade to ICS.

9
Could someone please send me their /system/app/FlexT9ChineseIME.apk from 0089-ROW.  I think this is all I need to get cracking.  I have the apk.p (patch file) but that is useless.
Thanks

I have flipped from CWM Recovery to stock, made sure I have the correct BusyBox (1.16) in terminal mode. I have downloaded the two 121-ROW files (ZIP and XML) and when I try to flash the package from the external-SD I get the following:

--Install /sdcard
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Verifying current system..
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/FlexT9ChineseIME.apk". "7f09bdbd9e20bae507398a51e34fa8e609cef5e". "222668fd99a68906eb4d678c3795801ea0698bd")
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

Sure hope someone can point me in the right direction.  This has to be the most cantankerous device I have ever encountered.

Yes, I am running 89-ROW.

You have to apply each update up to the latest one because these are incremental updates. Start with the 0075_ROW update next. Now if you get another error then feel free to ask again.

I don't know about the idle restart in CWM but that shouldn't be a problem if it's 20 minutes even not idle.

Good luck,
Phish

This solution has been tested many times.  If you read the last paragraph in this post, that is the key: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471106&page=2

Two peas in a pod,  M$Windows and Apple $tore. ;D

IT Service Professional. I just want a device to be productive.

Oh yes, as my wife just found out when she downloaded a so-called free game for her iPad and I got the bill via Gmail. The only saving grace is that the games from Apple $tore don't allow wagering. Well, at least I hope they don't as that is one of the worst addictions there is.

@coyttl.... if you are still having trouble getting back to the original recovery, I simply renamed /etc/install-recovery.sh and then renamed install-recovery.sh.forrecovery which I had saved for this purpose. You can also extract it if lost, from the zip file downloadable from Lenovo. That will then allow you to get any OTAs, including the promised ICS in May-June.
Cheers.

@ DrGadget

I interpret your “May-Jun” comment to note skepticism for Lenovo fulfilling the promise of ICS for our TPT in May and I agree that it will be interesting to see if ICS reaches our devices in May. Personally I will be pleasantly surprised if we see it in May.

S.Prime

@S.Prime: Sadly, I am a 'glass half empty' person when it comes to such promises.  I do like the device though, and am glad it is not a M$Windows device or I would not have the pleasure of owning it.

@TS: Sorry to hear of your mother-in-law's illness. The solution was not to use anything like ROM Manager, but to boot into CWR using Vol+ and PWR and Vol+ after the vibration and boot straight back into the OS the first time around. On the second boot into CWR you can do Nandroid backups and will get no unintended reboots.  Enjoy!

@thanesvorn: At the risk of being accused of answering a question more than once, I simply renamed /etc/install-recovery.sh (to /etc/install-recovery.sh.CWR) and then renaming the version I had saved for this purpose (install-recovery.sh.forrecovery >> install-recovery.sh). If you do not have this, you will find it in the ROM zip file you are using downloadable from Lenovo. Then reboot and update.
You will lose Superuser status unless you used 'Root Keeper' from Play Store (nee Market). Someone else mentioned GodfatherIP. There are methods for regaining root with OTA 2.5 that you can read elsewhere.
